Register for a public training course
- Visit Upcoming Courses for a list of our upcoming courses.
- Select your preferred course, date and time.
- Complete your online registration and payment. You can register on behalf of a guest.
- You'll receive an email confirmation with all the details of your upcoming course and access to the Trade Master portal.
Private training for my team

- Send us your training requirements through the private training enquiry form and we'll be in touch to plan a bespoke programme.
Cancel my course registration
- Logon to your Trade Master Portal
- Follow the cancellation process in the self-service portal. Note the cancellation policies on your registration.
Transfer my course registration to another date
- Logon to your Trade Master Portal
- View the course you'd like to transfer.
- Follow the transfer process in the self-service portal.
EWRB Competence Course Requirements Prior to Attending
Before you attend the course, you are required to complete two short online e-learning modules. These modules will provide an overview of the course and review the key points you’ll need to know to complete the written assessment and practical exercises. E-Learning Module Instructions
- Go to: https://www.ewrb.govt.nz/
- Click Login at top of page
- Log in via your preferred method
- On the right hand side of the screen under the column called ‘My Details’ – click on ‘Competency programme portal’
- Under ‘My Modules and Courses’ – click on ‘EW E-Learning Modules’
- If you have not completed this before you will need to complete the ‘About the electrical workers competence programme (SCORM 1.2)’ and ‘Electrical safety and you (SCORM 1.2)’ modules
- If you have completed these modules previously then click on ‘Electrical safety and you (SCORM 1.2)’, it may launch automatically or you may have to click on ‘Click to Launch Manually’
- Enter the name found on your EWRB practicing licence (your legal name) or if you do not have a practicing licence yet then the name listed on the EWRB register. This only needs to be your first and last name, middle names not required.
- Click ‘View your certificate’
- Print the certificate, take a picture of it or take a screenshot, all are acceptable.
Endorsement Assessments If you hold an electrical endorsement we could recommend you download these standards to your device before attending to ensure you are best prepared for the assessment relating to your endorsement.
